Mark Brunty

Hi, my name is Mark, and I am honored to serve as an elder here at Community Church. My primary focus areas include overseeing the high school youth ministry, men's fellowship, and, for now, the college group, though that may soon transition to sports ministry.

To me, being an elder is about servanthood. It's a calling to serve the people of our church, to offer wisdom, and to guide our community according to what we believe is God's will. I see my role as being available to our church family, praying for them, and offering guidance as we seek to follow God's path together.

On the personal side, I am blessed with a wonderful family. My wife, Beth, and I have been married for 34 years. We have five children: Jonathan, Andrew, Ben, Seth, and Faith. They are all a tremendous joy in our lives.

Our journey with Community Church began about ten years ago. Beth grew up in this church, and after a period at another church, we felt called to return. It's been a blessing to be part of this community once again.

I believe my calling is to be a servant, to be willing to do whatever God asks of me. Outside of my responsibilities at the church, I love to spend my free time collecting shells on the beach, particularly at Ocean Isle in North Carolina. It's a peaceful and fulfilling hobby that I enjoy immensely.

One resource that has been particularly inspiring for me is the ministry of Dr. Tony Evans. His teachings and books have had a significant impact on my spiritual journey. If you're looking for enriching and inspiring material, I highly recommend checking out his sermons on YouTube, his books, or even attending one of his seminars if you have the opportunity.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I'm grateful to be part of this incredible church family and to serve alongside all of you.
