One of the most interesting people in the Bible is John the Baptist. He was sent by God as a forerunner of Jesus not to prepare the way for Jesus, but as a herald sent to call us to prepare the way for Jesus – the way of our hearts. And John proclaimed that this great king who was coming wasn’t like a lion, but he was the lamb of God.
