God Is Opening Doors At Coventry Schools

Evening Baptism Service
This past month was a special time in our church, filled with celebration and reflection. One of the highlights was witnessing eight baptisms over a few weeks—what a joy to see how God is working in people’s lives! As a church, we believe it's important to make time to hear the testimonies, to celebrate, and to recognize how God is moving among us.
Beyond the baptisms, we also shared updates on our ministry efforts, particularly our outreach to local schools. Years ago, we prayed about how God had placed us in the heart of a community surrounded by schools, and we asked Him to open doors for us to serve students and families. Now, we’re seeing incredible answers to those prayers. Our preschool continues reaching young families, and at the local elementary school, we have 45 kids regularly attending a Good News Bible Club. We also have a group of ladies who serve the teachers dinner when they have Parent/Teacher Night. At the middle school, our involvement has grown through coaching, creating opportunities to connect with students and staff. At the high school, we now have a Bible study during lunch, with about 30–35 students attending. When we look at what God has done, we can’t help but give thanks!
One visitor recently asked me if we had always been called "Community Church" or if that was a new name to match what we’re doing. What an affirmation! It was a reminder that we aren’t just named a community church—we are living it.
To cap off these celebrations, we gathered for our traditional soup and pie fellowship, enjoying time together as a church family. Scripture tells us that fellowship—including sharing meals—is an important part of life in Christ, and it was beautiful to see that in action.
God is moving, and we’re excited for what’s ahead!
