Encouraging Men to Step Into God’s Calling

No Regrets Men’s Conference
For the first time, our church recently hosted the No Regrets Men's Conference, marking a significant step in strengthening our men's ministry. No Regrets has been an established ministry for over 20 years, and when we looked at our own men’s ministry, we saw a real need to breathe fresh life into it. This conference was a great fit, offering nationally known speakers via simulcast, engaging breakout sessions, and an easy half-day commitment—plus a good breakfast that all enjoyed.
The topics covered were both challenging and practical. We heard messages on walking with integrity, navigating spiritual and sexual purity, the power of our words, and leading in our families and church. The breakout sessions allowed for deeper discussion, and it was encouraging to see men eager to continue the conversations instead of rushing to the snacks or the restroom.
One of the standout moments for me was worship. Worshiping together can be a challenge for men, especially in a simulcast setting, but seeing men—ranging from high school students to those in their 80s—standing and praising God was powerful.
This conference wasn’t just about one day. We offered follow-up studies to help men revisit and apply what they learned. Our prayer is that this will spark honest discussions—conversations about feeling inadequate or unsure of how to lead spiritually. Men often know that God loves them, but do they believe He actually likes them? If we can focus on that and help men step into God’s grace and calling, the impact on our church and community could be enormous.
We hope to do this again next year, using it as a springboard to continue growing our men’s ministry.
