t has been about two weeks since our Preschool had its Frontier Days so let me try to recap what happened. After we had weeks of planning and days of set up we ended up with a great time for the kids and their parents to enjoy.
There are different stations set up to rotate through. Hayrides with Jeff Allen as the driver, Coin Digging where the kids dug for silver coins, Native American Village complete with TeePees, Joe Furno was our Davy Crockett and was loved by all, of course we had Pony Rides, and we had a game station with lots of ol’ timey games. Some of the games were wheelbarrow races, lassoing, sorting the gourds and ring tossing. I can’t say we had any mishaps, it was a smoothly run day but that is not without a lot of people helping.
This school year is going very well so far. Our 3 year old class is growing and that is exciting. We just had our Open House, which is usually earlier in the year but with schedule conflicts it was later than normal this year. Parents came to see the classrooms and meet the teacher and take home lots of papers and projects that their little ones had completed. Pastor Mike came and we had our 1st Chapel Day. He does several for us throughout the year to teach our students what church looks like.
