The end of John 4 tells us of several people and group of people who all seemed to welcome and follow Jesus. However, the passage clearly contrasts the true faith of the Samaritans and the official who came to Jesus seeking the healing of his son, and the false faith of the people of Jesus' hometown who were only looking to see Jesus do more miracles.
