e’ve come a long way since starting our renovation nearly a year ago, and now we're excited to share some of the major improvements we've been eagerly anticipating.
One of the highlights is our new ADA-accessible lift. It's designed to make our space more inclusive and accessible. If you need to use it, just follow the signs, press the button, and the door will open automatically. The lift’s door is timed, giving you ample time to enter before it closes behind you. Inside, you’ll find the up and down buttons, which need to be held until the lift stops on its own. When you reach the top, the door will open automatically. For safety, there's a stop alarm button, and if there’s a power failure, the help button will dial out to 911. If you accidentally press it, please stay on the line and inform the operator to avoid an unnecessary dispatch.
Another exciting update is the new heating and air conditioning units in the gym. While you can't see the cool air, you will definitely notice the difference with less perspiration during activities.
The final touch will be replacing the flooring in the south hallway. The new flooring will match the worship center and chapel stages, extending into the gym and up to the lobby. We will also replace the stair treads and risers to ensure everything looks refreshed and cohesive.
